Taking back workers
This winter, 62 Ekornes employees were put on leave following a significant drop in the number of orders. Today, nearly all of them are back at work. This means a lot to the local communities housing Ekornes factories, and to the Ekornes Group.
- Our aim has always been to recall all these employees, and I am happy to say we are very close to reaching that goal, Øyvind Tørlen says.
The company plans to increase Stressless capacity to approx. 1,570 seat-units per day, depending on the product mix. The increase will come largely in the Stressless sofa area.
