Success in Birmingham
Ekornes chose to arrange a private show in England this year instead of attending the national furniture fair held in January. Their own IOC (Innovators of Comfort)-show was held from November 29 to December 2 at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, and turned out to be a great success.
Almost all the British Stressless® retailers came to Birmingham where we had 2 separate showrooms; one to present our Marketing & Promotions Plan for 2010 and a second room in which we had 2 studios - 89m2 and 128m2. We also launched our new UK CRM system which received a very positive response from all our retailers including their agreement to give us their own databases.
-This has been our most successful show and all the new models including the new models with the ErgoAdapt™-system sold very well. We have now received 28 requests for new studios in 2010 when we have only budgeted for 20, says Marketing manager Duncan Box.
