Extension of the Stressless factory
The first steps of constructing new buildings to house larger expedition and lacquer department started in August.
More than 1500 seats of Stressless recliners and adjustable sofa are produced per day, and shipped out by truck or by boat. The new building for dispatch will enlarge today’s expedition by 1650 m2, and adds 6 new loading ramps to the existing ramps and the container port used for shipping furniture.
The other building will be 1600 m2 and will house new and top modern installations for staining and lacquering the wooden base of the Stressless chair. The installation of machinery is scheduled for September/October 2010, and the new department will be ready for production in March 2011.
