Ekornes

Ekornes is organizing a free concert to celebrate the company's 75th anniversary, and has invited everybody in Sykkylven to join.  Two of the most popular artists in Norway will come to Sykkylven, and the preparations have been going on for some time.

The numerous furniture companies in Sykkylven are working together to bring home the world record for "longest sofa".  Several people from Ekornes are involved in this project, and the event will take place Sunday at 1300h, CET.  Today's record is 64 meters.  The new record sofa will be built on Sykkylvsbrua, the bridge spanning the wide fjord of Sykkylven.  This bridge is 860 meters long - this indicates that the previous record will be beaten thoroughly.
